Description
The Park Avenue Mansion, a St. Louis Bed & Breakfast in an elegant 1874 French Second Empire "Painted Lady" in historic Lafayette Square, offers immediate convenience to downtown St. Louis, the Convention Center, Arch, Riverboat Casinos, Zoo, Sports Centers and the Museum Campus.
As you walk up the brick pathway, open the wrought iron gates, and enter through 12 foot carved doors, you know you are in the right place. Pamper yourself with a relaxing soak in your guestroom’s private whirlpool tub, snuggle up in fluffy towels and French terry cloth robes, indulge yourself with a little chocolate treat and settle down for a good night's sleep.
Awaken to the aroma of our own blend of coffee…. For you we serve a full champagne breakfast on old china, silver, and hand-painted Park Avenue crystal, complete with our own Eggs Benedict or homemade Belgian Waffles, fresh fruit and homemade breads, assorted teas, coffee and fresh juice. Breakfast is served in our formal dining room. From the beautiful hand painted crystal glasses and large crystal chandelier, to the spectacular cast iron fireplace, huge sideboard, and original oil painting, the dining room seems to have jumped off an artist's canvas. Weather permitting; guests may enjoy breakfast or strolls in the Park Avenue courtyards. Brick paths, fountains, benches and iron tables are hidden among flower gardens, blooming vines, and tall bush fences, to give the Park Avenue a feeling of rural isolation in a thriving urban environment. The mansion is also beautifully trimmed with opulent Christmas decorations during the holiday season.Photos
